Hey everyone, long time no e-mail! Just wanted to touch base about a few things; all this will be reflected on www.teh3l3m3nts.com

We've heard the cries, a lot of people want a fresh world for 1.3. However, we've always promised that the main map would stay since people have spent YEARS building there, so here's what we're gonna do: Move the main map to "Old_World" and the main nether to "Old_Nether", then create a new world and nether. We've come up with a scheme to preserve ALL warps and homes and have already tested it on a test server...the one thing we just can't make work automatically with our system is the nether portals.

To that end, we have a solution, but we have to do it manually. If you have a nether portal you want preserved, give us the xyz coordinates for the portal in the main world AND in the nether by e-mailing us here. Please do this before 1.3 comes out!

When 1.3 comes out, we'll upgrade as soon as we can with the new map. With new maps and new land...remember to be civilized with your builds :D The existing world is so spread out that we don't step on each others toes a lot, but play nice.

Finally, keep checking on www.teh3l3m3nts.com . Even though many people have moved on from minecraft, or to other servers, we have a dynamic online map AND a web-embedded online chat so you can keep in touch without even needing to log in. Come say hi!

P.S. Surf update: I've moved, I'm in california! We're staying with overjoyed_worm right now, so I don't have my computer, and we're sort of living out of a suitcase while we still try to get a house, but I'm still around!

As for 1.3, its been over 3 months since 1.2, I can't believe they are taking so long. Well when they eventually do release it, we plan on making a new main map.
The current map will still be here, but its access will be restricted to people who have business there. But I encourage you to make the move over to the new main map
when we eventually do that.
We are also going to need a new spawn area, so if you are looking to make a few additions onto it, let an admin know.

I also want to be clear, you can freely move between the worlds (If you have access), including all your stuff/items/block, but I do not want to see people dismantling their builds for items/blocks.

So I've been fucking around with special chat characters...and I discovered some neatness.

This is sort of documented, but it's complicated. For each type of text, you have to type a special character before it, I only know the windows one. It's "&". Also...it looks like it only works for admins...looking into that.
