So you know that system-wide lag going on for the last 2 days? My bad. The cactus farm is just too powerful, it's a black hole of items. There were so many standing cactus at the bottom of it that when the chunk was loaded, it caused a CPU spike on the server from 4% to 8% (doubling the CPU load). That's nuts. Now I installed a lava dumpster at the bottom, basically when you wanna harvest you cover the lava, collect, then uncover it when done.

Porjos and I were talking how epic it would be if you were a griefer to just go to someone's server, build a GIANT cactus farm right under spawn, then never come back. They couldn't even dig to it since the lag would be so bad.

Just a heads-up to anyone that was on a little bit ago when that douchebag xander9 got on and started threatening everyone.  A minute or 2 after I banned him, my computer inexplicably crashed.  Now, he claimed to be able to wipe people's boot sectors lol, but obviously not the case, as I am now on my computer writing this.  It seems more like it was  simple ping flood or something (like I always used to do to my college roomate for fun hehehe).  Anyway, since he got my IP he may have yours if you were on then.  As I said apparently he must not be as 1337 as he thinks, because he didn't accomplish anything besides making me turn my computer back on. But just so you know.  But, this should be fine because I got his IP and traced it back to his ISP (his internet provider) and emailed their support department for network abuse, explaining the situation and that he was obviously violating their terms of service by maliciously abusing the services they provide him.  So he wont have internet much longer.  I'll post the replies i get from them. Should be entertaining.

Hey Everyone!

Well, it appears that we got griefed sometime last night.... a strange one too.  Mostly peoples wooden structures missing wood, and mostly only wood missing from chests.  Guess someone realllly didn't feel like making an axe.  But the strange part is, that it happened VERY widespread throughout the world, so it would either be an owner (no) or someone hacking.  So we should be able to figure it out, because gorg and I think we have narrowed down a time frame, and I'll check the logs and see what I can dig up once I get off work tonight.  In the meantime, if you got hit, you can ask an owner to item you whatever got stolen/ruined (owners, please tp and check the damage so people aren't abusing it). INSTRUCTIONS UPDATED!!! It'd be one thing if we just had to live without bukkit, but the entire server won't load for ANYONE. Repeated corruption, bugs, crashes, lag, it's a mess. Until a stable version is out, we're gonna stay on the old version.
