What a week folks! Obsidian died, we moved to a new hosting company, we got bukkit installed and painstakingly configured its setup, got our most recent backup restored, and are off and running! Here's a list of stuff you need to know:

We've officially committed to the new domain name, www.teh3l3m3nts.com, for this website and the server address (you still need to add the port to the server address in minecraft, so mc.teh3l3m3nts.com:1489).

We've set up the permission structure based on groups, and you can see the official list of commands per-group in the spreadsheet linked to on the sidebar. To see what group you're in, type /list.

Our map got uploaded, but we lost like 3 days of work from the last backup I downloaded. At this point it's been a week since any of us have worked on it, so hopefully it isn't too much of a shock :(

We'll be better about making backups public, you can see the link to the backup AND it's age on the sidebar. They're hosted to my (surf) dropbox in the public folder, so I'm not too concerned about data-loss. They're like 900MB, but whatev.

With the new control of the permissions and such, we're finally gonna list the server and see if we can't get some new players in. Hopefully we'll meet some cool people and get some epic structures going.

Well, seeing how we found out for sure we weren't getting ANY of our data from obsidianservers, we have already decided to pick the top choice from the poll.  Yeah, there wasn't many votes, but almost everyone wanted the 3/17 world anyway, so I have submitted a ticket with a link to the backup, as per the request of our new host, and they will upload the file to our server. We will keep you all posted as things develop, but we should have our world back soon! In addition, we WILL be listing publicly as soon as our world is back, so everyone be ready for new players, and new griefers. Wheeeeeee!

Hey fellow starving minecraft addicts. We are still getting things configured server side with the new host, and will probably be tweaking it and making changes for a while.  In the meantime, we need to decide what to do about the map. Please vote for your favorite choice!

Greetings patient pups!

We're working on a new structure of groups and command permissions. There will be 5 groups:

• Owners: The people with backed access
• Admins: In-game moderators
• Members: The peanut gallery
• Noobs: New members, limited permissions, the default group
• Retards: People on punishment who can't change the world in any way.

Each group has fewer permissions than the group above it. We're finalizing the permissions structure, and you can view what we're proposing here: Permissions Spreadsheet. Hopefully all this will get rolled out in the next day or 2.

check your email, we have a new host we are trying out, a temp map until we get everything figured out, and 3 very tired owners working on getting this up and running. there will be a poll soon as surf has said about the map, but at least we have a server for now.  all of you should be getting an email soon with the address. come tear it up with us!
