WOOO CONGRATS TO BOUKE! NEW ADMIN! WOOO!

Hey everyone, we all talked about staffing and have some announcements that will be made in the next few days. MrsPinkin is gonna be promoted to owner :D

Just some background to the decision; now that the server will be hosted locally, not only will he be a big help to me in-person if something goes wrong, but his house has fiber internet so if my internet blows it'll go in at his house. Additionally, he's got a strong tech background (he works technical support for Apple) and will bring a lot to the back-end functioning of the server.

Everyone congratulate him!

Reeling from my bandwidth overload last week, I've been doing some behind the scenes maintenance. (Off topic, one of the projects I host was a digg-style suggestion engine for a university activities office, and they didn't actually go with the site I designed. I did a lot of work reworking an early version of Pligg to work with facebook connect and such, so I kept it running as part of my portfolio. I haven't looked at it in like 2 years...but the version of Pligg was outdated, got hacked, and was sending facebook spam, and using 6GB of bandwidth A DAY...I have 100 GB/month, I exceeded it, hence why we were down a few days. I've since removed that service. The more you know.)

All this faction fighting! What is the line between faction war and griefing?!? OMG DRAMA!

Taking from the courthouse in old world, it was clear that a place was needed for arbitration between factional groups. Nevertheless...this is new world and things aren't supposed to be as easy as they used to be. So I build a serene mountain monastery where issues can be worked out.
