All this faction fighting! What is the line between faction war and griefing?!? OMG DRAMA!

Taking from the courthouse in old world, it was clear that a place was needed for arbitration between factional groups. Nevertheless...this is new world and things aren't supposed to be as easy as they used to be. So I build a serene mountain monastery where issues can be worked out.

Sup everyone! I've been doing a bunch of work behind the scenes, for example, moving into my new house, doing some rewiring, setting up all my networking stuff, and prepping for a new piece of hardware which will be running the server out of hopefully my house. Also, MrsPinkin (a.k.a. OverjoyedWorm) has been helping me with some behind the scenes stuff, and we have been talking about ways to make our community better

We came up with the idea of having a forum. Mostly the idea grew out of wanting to have a place for factions to discuss things without all being on at the same time. Also...this isn't just a minecraft server, this is a community, and we have things to discuss OUTSIDE of the game.

So we played around with a phpbb install, but it would have meant a whole new login system and stuff, and just wouldn't have been smooth. We found a wordpress plugin that integrates elements of a forum right into the existing structure; no new theme, no second user database, and we can tie in forum posts to stories and stuff.

There's a link to the forum in the sidebar, check it out and begin using it, tell us what you think, and blow it up!

Hey Everyone!

Strange_turkey has been promoted, how about some congrats!!!!!!!

Yes, there has been a recent uproar because of it.  Anyone that would like to discuss this, please contact me instead of spamming chat in game or in IRC.  Also, leave cnc alone about it. I initiated the promotion, not him.  Yes, I got my opinion from others I trust because I haven't been around to make such a judgement, and even if I had been I wouldn't have made a decision like that alone anyway.  So, again, you want clarification, or to get anything off your chest, get at me. easiest through skype (natel.arvixe), email (nathan.lowell@arvixe.com most frequently check, but minecraftpisspants@gmail.com will work well too, just make sure it's specified that it's for me).  Plain and simple, attitude, mindset, and skills factor in equally ALONGSIDE time spent on the server.  And ask any owner... theres always people pissed off when someone gets promoted... always.

All that aside,

There will be one more person promoted to admin.  Once we are on the new server, and have started listing more again, there will probably be one more promotion to start with, then more as/if needed. So don't go thinking someone shit in your toybox just yet.  We have been discussing this and have not thought beyond the next promotion at this time.  Once all applicable parties (you know who you are lol) have gotten their votes into the mix, it will be done and announced.

Quick sidenote: I want to thank everyone for the awesomely warm welcome back :D
